Position Overview:

As a valuable member of the Restaurants & Catering team, you will be responsible for delivering championship fan service to club members and guests during a variety of Air Canada Centre events by living our Visions and Values and assisting our teams to WIN.

Specific Duties:

  • Welcome club members in a professional and friendly manner
  • Respond to telephone inquiries
  • Ensure all menus and wine lists are clean and tidy prior to the start of each shift
  • Review reservations
  • Work with the Maitre d’ to prepare and organize seating plans
  • Seat guests according to seating plan
  • Communicate any special requests to servers and bussers/runners
  • Maximize the capacity of the dining room by assisting with table re-setting and other duties as required
  • Adhere to MLSE service standards and policies
  • Act as a guest service agent for club members
  • Assist club room manager as required
  • Follow all MLSE Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act

Requirements:

  • Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous experience in fine dining host/server position an asset
  • Previous cash handling responsibilities
  • Work well under pressure; handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong organizational skills
  • A winning attitude
